Helping Hand for Crawley's first time buyers!
24/03/2010 Chancellor Alistair Darling has given first time buyers a big helping hand onto the property ladder today by axing stamp duty on homes under £250,000 for first-time buyers! Matthew Cousins Director of Inspire Estates commented "The move could be a big boost to Crawley's property market which showed signs of slowing at the start of this year after the government ended a temporary tax holiday at the end of last year, on the purchase of properties worth less than £175,000" According to Alistair Darling ""This means 9 in 10 first time buyers will pay no stamp duty at all." We anticipate a flurry on first time buyer properties, now is a good time to react before we see an increase in the housing prices of smaller properties. |
