West Green area guide
West Green is the older part of Crawley, being formed in 1949, although there is property dating back to the 16th century.
The area has a varying mix of residential property, ranging from a scattering of character properties to ex-local authority housing.
It is regarded as a popular neighbourhood amongst buyers and tenants due to its proximity to Crawley Town Centre. The population of approximately 4,400 make it one of the less populated neighborhoods in Crawley. Residents are multi-cultural and vary in age ranges.
In a community survey the satisfaction of residents of West Green as a place to live was the highest in Crawley, however it was the lowest when it came to cleanliness - probably due to its proximity to the Town Centre.
